The idea of the Carnets sonores project was born from a completely unconventional journey, and intends, in the manner of a travel diary, to bring together a sort of sound biography. There is an in-depth quest within classical and also popular music. If the writing is contemporary, the various influences also come from those who have drawn on folklore such as Bartok, Shostakovich, Ellington, Stravinsky, Piazzolla, Ligeti, or his contemporaries of the new tango, Diego Schissi or Gustavo Beytelmann. Vilallonga's writing, whether it is his youthful works or more current ones, enrich and develop a personal language that, far from reproducing forms or styles, makes his writing and his work as an interpreter a magic bridge... "A bridge exists only in the moment that it is crossed by someone" said the Argentine writer Julio Cortázar. Vilallonga composes, by imperative need to create but also by sharing this creation. So the project consists of some pre-existing compositions and new music for violin, cello, piano, bandoneon and double bass in various formations of quintet, trio or solo. The album will be recorded with exceptional musicians for and will then be presented live.
